Good access with public transport, dont worry if you see outside a lot of repair works- its opened!The panorama painting is really impressivethe crowds of mainly turkish and arabic visitors howeverbreathtaking also. Dont expect too much historical accurate information.Its mainly to praise the magic Mehmed the Conqueror and historical accurate details seem to have bored the "curators". Nice entertainment for 15-20 minutes before making a walk at the ruins of the theodos.wall and to continue with Metro-Tram to center.

If you want to know how Constantinople fell to the Ottomans, this place offers panoramic 3D motionless picture with audio guides in major languages. The almost 360D panoramic arena is breathtaking in my opinion. Try it. I have enjoyed it everytime!

Not as impressive as I expected it to be, the painting itself is very well done. But in a rather small scale compared to the event itself so it doesn’t evoke the feelings it should. The information is very lacking as well i imagine it would be a great idea as an exhibition if it were more interactive

I would give it a zero don't waste you life here. All you get are few picture drawings with a painted dome. Staff have revolting attitued and they will charge you 15TL for it.

When i saw it from the outside i tot its a bad museum BUT when i reached the panorama room i was shocked.
İmpressive painting and background music.
To maximize your experience i recommend tge audio guide. İts very usefull inside the dome.response / report this review -

While visiting Istanbul i visited this place. The place is dedicated to the conquest of Constantinople by the ottomans. While it's mainly for Turks, I found it very interesting not only from historical perspective but also for the engineering techniques and war strategies the ottomans used to conquer it.

Very impressive museum.
As the matter of fact, people must go to this museum to understand the beginning of Istanbul before they even go to Topkapi, Blue mosque, and other places.
There are 2 floor of paintings which also give information in English. On the top, panoramic 360 3-D painting is one of a kind in the world. Very details. The audio is automatically played while you walk around.

Very disappointed. The entire siege of Istanbul is squeezed in few short prints displayed on the walls. They do not have any appeal to the audience. Audio aid for the wall prints are also poorly made and has a monotonous sound. Prints on the wall also do not have the English translations. Upstairs 360 panoramic display is somewhat impressive but it can only be viewed as entertaining the entire project should not be called a museum but maybe an exhibition of some sort

Small but realistic representation of the siege of İstanbul. It will take you around an hour to fully appreciate the historical facts and events around the siege.

You have to see this to understand and appreciate this attraction. A lesson in history but worth the effort. Wheelchair access available. Entry fee applicable. Unfortunately no credit or debit cards accepted.
