The owner, Murat, is both sincere and helpful. He provided us with a lot of good local information on food destinations and places of interests. We arrived early in the morning but were allowed early check in for our stay. To take his hospitality further, Murat even granted us a free upgrade to the room of our choice and occupancy was low in the period we went and gave us complimentary breakfast (on the day of our arrival)!
The stone cave room was absolutely delightful to stay in! One might think that as the room is carved out of the rock, it might be dirty or sandy but the room was nothing but clean, sanitary and well furnished. Truly an incredible experience to stay, and a great spot for checking out Cappadocia.
Our stay was too short as we only had one night in Cappadocia. If time permitted, we would have stay longer and in Murat's Hotel. Sincerely hope to be back again.

Worth mentioning: The Canyon Cave Hotel was formerly known as the Courtyard Cave Hotel. Driving there, we had some issues with navigation as there was some confusion on Google Maps.response / report this review -

Such a great place to stay!The hotel is amazing according to all conditions to look for; the location is just perfect where is about to entrance of the city centre of Urgup, the best one is 20 seconds far away from the one of the best wineries. Hopitality is great, Mr. Murat is such a great guy who is a master of the Cappadokia area regarding of all roads and activites as well as he is so friendly and helpful guy who can speak more than one language besides Turkish and English. Additionally, the rooms are so clean and have a lot of space to stay. The breakfast is amazing, has lots of hand-made stuff and you can have your breakfast through amazing view of Urgup city right up terrace of the hotel. Highly recommended guys! we enjoyed a lot!

Her yönüyle tatilinizi dört dörtlük geçirebileceğiniz bir otel; yeri tam ürgüp şehir merkezine girişte turasanın karşısı-istediğiniz zaman 20 sn. de şarap tadımı ve alımına yakın- Manzarası harika, terasından erciyes dağına bakarak kahvaltınızı yapabiliyorsunuz, misafirperverlik anlamında daha iyisi olamazdı, Murat Bey inanılmaz yardımsever, sıcakkanlı ve kapadokya yöresinin uzmanlarından biri - rota olsun, gezilecek görülecek mekan olsun, yeme-içme olsun her konuda sizi en iyi ve fark yaratacak yerlere yönlendirir. Kendisi harika bi insan, odalar geniş, temizlik çok iyi ve ses konusunda da herhangi bi sıkıntısı yok, banyosu çok geniş, kahvaltısı el emeğiyle yapılmış. This was one of our most pleasant stays during a two week road trip through Turkey. The hotel is quiet new (ca. 2 years) and offers very good cave rooms which are equipped on a high level. The owner Murat is especially friendly and supports you in any kind of way. Breakfast had plenty of choice and varied slightly during the different days of our stay. Wifi is available on the whole property. Parking is possible directly in front of the building. The top sights of Cappadocia are in a driving distance of about 10-15 minutes. If we ever come back to Cappadocia, this place would be first choice.
