Airport transfers are overcharged. If the taxi driver would stick to the meter it would cost no more than 50 Turkish Lira to get from the airport to Sultan Ahmet. Also, the driver who picked me up was rude.

We have just returned from spending 4 days in Istanbul. The driver was there right outside the door waiting for us. Although he was not using the I Pad as the home page suggests, it was abundantly clear he was waiting for us as indicated by the very clearly hand written sign. He took us directly to the front door and as it was 7am in the morning, having taken our bags into the hotel, tried to alert the staff of our presence. We let him go and sorted it ourselves. However, we did not received the free map as is again advertised on the home page and several times throughout the site. The driver was early when picking us up for our return journey but he did not pressure us at all to be ready and simply waited in his vehicle. He did drive very fast and a little uncomfortably at times but was polite and helped us both with loading and unloading the bags. Would I use them again?? Definitely Yes. Would I recommend them to others??? Again Yes.
