This definitely one of the more rustic of the holiday park camping areas. It has great views in a more primitive setting. Practically every site has a view of the lake. The kitchen and bathrooms are functional and clean but the amenities are not modern. This reminds me more of camping at remote sites with amenities as opposed to some of the more fancy additions they have. Holiday Park does have list that identifies each of the types of RV parks they have. It is very helpful in identifying the different styles of parks if amenities and modern are important to you.

It was an average holiday home with all basic necessities and clean showers. Like some other holiday homes in NZ this one too has timed showers of 6 min. It is located in a beautiful place with good view of lake tekapo

Very bad experience.
A cold-hearted campsite.
Hot shower water is limited in 6 mins, and become cold water suddenly.
Every facilities required password. No dining table in kitchen. No cooking utensils. Ok, you bring your own, with two hands normally. And you can’t get into the kitchen by yourself unless you have the third hand to press the F password.
The human reception reply you like a Robot, very cool.

Nice motel with the beautiful lake. The rooms are nicely cleaned and the bed were comfortable. Unfortunately, there are many insects and bugs outside the motel at night and they can get in your room so do not let them in. Besides the nice view, this is also a nice place for stargazing

We stayed in the motel just above the reception area. Magnificent view and all amenities were suffice. The lake was right in front and the front of the motel is all glass which was great.

Great view and newish facility. BUT the 6 min shower limit stressed me out big time.

Great location but very busy and only 1 block of amenities is open (other one is under renovation). Be prepared to queue in the morning for your shower/toilet visit.

The ensuite units were too gud as they gave a direct view of the lake. It may be pure bad luck if you don't manage to get a room with a view. The views are to die for.
When we went the community kitchen near our room was under renovation but a microwave and fridge with some cutlery were provided in rooms. Our purpose was solved. However, if required, the other community kitchen was functional but I didn't use it.
The bathroom was tiny. But had a hot blower. Hot water was plentiful. Towels and cleaning of room was done everyday but bedsheets were not changed everyday.

The only fantastic thing here is the view! Unisex bathroom? Come on?! Limited 6 minutes shower for $55,00are you kidding me? I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

Friendly and warm welcome by the reception. He (Sorry forgot the guy name) also help us call the telco company operator to fix the wifi connection error. We always use the kitchen and bathroom early before everyone wake-up or decided to use it, so no problem for us. By the way we have stove, toaster & water boiler in the camper 😊 The facilities are also very clean and I saw the staff working hard too! Bravo and keep it up guys, hope to see ya again..

Poor customer service, have to pay for showers, paid for wifi but it was virtually unusable with slow speeds and poor reception.
