On the side of the main road. Very small area, looks like a carpark. The facilities are good but it's cramped

Perched in the top of a mountain pass with snow covered mountains on each side it is quite pretty.
Basic amenities cold water sink and covered indoor area. Great place to base yourself if you are self contained and would like to do some trekking.

Easily best camp ground in arthurs pass - walking distance to town and devils punchbowl waterfall plenty of parking nearby. One caveat - it is v close to the road with trucks on the road at all hours bring your earplugs. $8 pppn if i remember correctly. Honour box system with ranger up early in morning to check your tent tags!
