I have lived in this area for many years I thought to come home and what better way then to stay right in the heart of it he did not mention its not suitable for young people I tried to cancel a few days earlier as there was major flooding but he assured us its beautiful . So we arrive and the place is filthy absolutely horrible hair all over the beds fridge was black with I don't know what dishes were gross hadn't been washed for how long cobwebs galore hadn't even swept it out and when I told him my daughter had asthma he didn't care so I made the choice to leave he made sure to yell at me ya ain't getting a refund beware of this place I'm used to roughing it but this was worse than a prison cell. note I did not want to put a star on as it doesn't deserve one but I had to post my review

Handy and just off the highway which is great if your going fishing . The Manager was a nice guy. Grounds are kept beautiful with bush and pohutukawa trees around and hot showers. Great camping for the night with our tent site and boat.
Just needs to be upgraded a bit and have a lounge room with maybe some swings and slides if you were to take the kids.

Grounds are beautiful and well kept if camping or looking for a place to park up for the night. Amazing showers! Lots of space and handy to local shops. Guy at reception is very nice with a great sense of humour. Thanks for the great experience :)

Handy location but the cabins are very dirty they all smell really bad like pee or it could be cat pee, as the windows are left open all the time. There are no mattress protectors and everything is so dirty the chairs and carpet are disgusting. If you are going to stay here bring a tent the grounds are nice and there's free wifi. The camp seems to be empty all year round going from what the locals say, there was only two other family staying here during our two nights I think for most people its a place you stay once. Cheers Den

Not really suitable for families, no playground or swings - or even other kids to play with. Cut our trip short, rooms really need a good clean. I'm sure if you're a boatie it's a good base for the Harbour.
