Clean facilities & hot pool and spa for the children all year around and just over an hour from south Auckland. Perfect place in low season with not too many people around. Make sure you walk to Orakaua bay it is really something.

We found it perfect for families. Our children loved the pool and the beach, but mainly the heated pool which is great to have in winter. Happy staff and clean facilities. Cannot fault this place.

I stayed on the power site with a camper van.
* Good points: All of the staffs are very friendly.
Facilities were very clean / unlimited - hot water pool and hot spas.
* Discomforts: The ground surface of the campervan site was uneven and slightly irregular, and there was unbalance. It was inconvenient because there was a slight incline in one direction.

Only 30min Wifi for free. Overall quality of facilities is OK, everything seems to be old and used. For families good, a lot of playing zones. Price/Performance ratio is a better in other top 10 places, in which we ve been.

Nice park-like grounds and great facilities for kids. Beware of the cancellation policy though, you can't get a refund if the weather forecast looks bad.

Very good beach with beautiful walks around. I was in a self-contained van and everything is planed for it : toilets, cold shower, wearing room I really enjoyed this place.
