Great gastro bar in Ellerslie. Lots of personality and ambiance. Lots of food options too.

Service was terrible. Staff seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves and taking breaks than serving customers. Food was awful. Vegetarian mushroom sliders ×3 came with mushrooms that were so tiny I was only able to make one slider out of it.

Called in for a beer and late lunch. Ordered Indo satay. Took about 20 Min to arrive. A carved mould of stodgy white rice, a stack of satay, tough and under cooked. Smothered in peanut source. A token sprinkling of diced raw carrot as the vegetables.
Took a couple of bites and walked away. Barman refunded my money without argument.
    Unlikely to go back.

Pretty decent local for some after work drinks. Never been disappointed in their grub but never been absolutely satisfied as well.

There were four of us dining here, I had received a personal recommendation to try it. I like the way the bar had kept the decor theme inline with the buildings previous usage. It was nice and warm for a cool winter's evening. We had a nice selection of menu options, I chose the Grilled Peri-Peri Chicken Burger, a couple of the other had the Union Cheese Burger. We did not have to wait to long for our meals, everybody enjoyed their food, a couple even managed to squeeze in dessert as well.

Just as a note, you do need place your order for food and drinks at the bar.

Been to this place many times, yet they fail to be friendly and delightful. I owned a bar of my own for 2.5 years and know lot about hospitality. There is this giant mindless black guy behind reception who is so bloody rude and stupid. Absolutely no communication skills whatsoever. Cant even calculate or keep track of people paying bills. Never taking my team there and will definitely be telling everyone in my company not to go which is just across the road.

Union Post is a great local establishment. Tonight it was packed on a Wednesday in the middle of winter! I feel like the food quality has slipped however, it used to be fresher & better prepared. It's become a bit more like pub food rather than a decent quality meal. Other than that, it's a great option.

Fantastic food and drink options. Plenty of screens for sports and a nice patio area. Good for family lunch, work gets togethers, and drinks with friends. I highly recommend the curly fries.

Their garlic pizza bread is yuuuum. I've been there twice for food and haven't been disappointed. You can book a table for a larger groups, recommended as they can get super busy towards the end of the week of even during lunch.

They've got a great best selection, and wines. They've got some vegetarian options as well. A great pub, cozy and good food.

Really nice, good atmosphere, well decorated with postal items - reflecting the name of the business. Nice open fire. Parking is difficult but not the bars fault. All of Ellerslie has limited available parking. Great food, Macs brews - sliders are maybe a bit small for the price?
