Nice campground in a beautiful area. Perfect for day trips to Mount Cook and stargazing at night (there’s a dark area just through the trees and across the road where you can stand on the grass and look at the sky) unfortunately the kitchen and bathroom facilities were left dirty by a certain group of tourists, hence only 3 stars.

Stayed in cabin 2A. Walls are paper thin so bring earplugs. Toilets and showers were adequate. Good location for Mt Cook/ Aoraki walks.

Excellent location in between Dunedin and Christchurch to work as a stopover for the night. Mostly well kept. Toilet sink had quite a stench coming through. Appliances were working although some could do with replacements from being used. Five minutes drive to High country salmon farm is amazing.

Great location. Convenient between Christchurch and Queenstown. Beautiful views. Nice facility. Showers were hot and unlimited with good water pressure. Kitchen was clean and well equipped.

Easy walk to town center. In winter supermarket and restaurants close early.

We had a awful stay in Twizel. During the night they looked in the tends and rooms to check how many people are in there. They used a flashlight to count the people at 11 o'clock. Thats total insane. We can't recommend this place at all.

We went there in March, park was not cramped, so it was very quiet. Perfect stop on the way between Kaikoura and Christchurch. Clean and useful kitchen with lots of sinks and more than 1 hob (we used our own utensils), also clean bathroom (hot water on the sinks, lots of hooks to hang your clothes on - be aware 2 NZD for a shower! I did not use the shower since the sinks have hot water.) Friendly staff. Was worth the price (30 NZD for 2 people for a powered site) Would def. come back here.

Lovely owner friendly and helpful. Nice and clean. Very close to town. Twizel is a great place to stay a while. Salmon and trout fishing in the canals.

Nice holiday park in a beautiful area of NZ. We used a powered site - all good, the facilities are maybe a bit dated and small - sure no problem for one night.
