Always efficient and well priced. I have dealt with many of the staff on my 4 visits to the Blenheim road store. All are friendly. They also really take care of their repeat customers with the occasional free repair of a puncture which they can often do overnight for you. Car maintenance and repair is never cheap but Tony's have transparent pricing and charge fair prices for their services. Pretty happy with them and have now had two tyres and two punctures replaced/repaired by them. Will be back next time.

Tony's Tyres is a creepy American-style hard-sell operation that aggressively advertises a 'price guarantee' to beat any offer by $10 per tyre. But this 'guarantee' is mostly a teaser to get their claws on you and only gets honored if the price they have to beat still gives them a pre-determined profit margin. I tried to take advantage of this 'guarantee' so I called another major tyre place and got a quote for the tyres I needed for my car. I then phoned Tony's and asked if they could beat it by $10 per tyre. After he 'talked to the boss,' he said they couldn't do the guarantee thing since 'there was nothing in it for them' but he said he could match the price, but then he wanted to charge me $89 for a wheel alignment when their actual price they normally charge for my small car was $59. I told him the other place charged $49 for wheel alignment. Anyway, after 'talking to the boss,' he said he could match the whole package offered by the other place, so I (dumbly) made an appointment for the following morning. When I got there, I had to wait 20 minutes while the sales guy pressured a lady into buying insurance for the tyres she was purchasing. When he got around to me, I filled out all the forms, then he went into the back to make sure that my tyres were there, but returned saying that they had ordered the wrong tyres, but he said he would call me shortly at home to sort things out and arrange another appointment, which he did not do. So when I called back to set up a new time, he said that he had 'talked to the boss' and that the boss said they couldn't in fact even match the price of the other tyre place, and said the best they could do was $53 MORE per tyre than the other place. Obviously, I gave up at that point and went to the other place which did a marvelous job for the quoted price, and they didn't plaster an advertising sticker on the back window like they do at Tony's Tyres.

Best tyre shop in Christchurch. They came to be party when I gave them no notice. They made my holiday great. Cheers guys
