A really wonderful hostel! Rooms are nice and clean, WiFi is brilliant and kitchen/living areas are comfortable and well equipped. The scones are a great addition! Would stay again without hesitation!

Easily one of the best Backpackers in New Zealand! They have free unlimited Wi-fi, a hot tub, nice views and one of the cleanest kitchens you'll see in a hostel. The graveyard theme is a nice touch too

Took me in, last minute at a time when I was desperately needing a place to stay, getting off of the fairy in the pouring rain. Good guy owner, and a group of long term stayers, taking care of the place and being a lot of fun and open to new comers. I wish I could have stayed more than one night. Very good set up for social activities!

Having been to this hostel twice two months apart and both times the Hostel was excellent and the staff and other guess where exceptionally friendly! Be sure to stay at Tombstone backpackers!

I messed up my reservation (completely my fault) and booked a stay for the wrong date, the owners were extremely nice and even though they were fully booked that night they let me stay in the sun room and transferred my booking. Also they had amazing freshly baked scones in the morning and a free lift to to the ferry. This was, without a doubt, the best hostel I have stayed in in NZ.

Superb hostel, Nikki and Gary are great hosts, I highly recommend! I highly recommend it, table tennis, billiards, and jaccuzi available, great bedding, and very good scones! Do not hesitate !

Great hostel, friendly hosts and accomodating! We were in a bit of a bind due to last minute cancellations in our plans and Nikki helped us out :) Stayed in 3share and queen ensuite rooms--all of which were clean and comfy. Would def stay here again!

Just stayed there last night. First time staying at a backpacker what an awesome experience
Excellent host, excellent location, excellent atmosphere, clean,quiet and warm. Couldn't ask for more.
Highly recommend this hostel. Will definitely stay again
