PSA: New owners and a new restaurant with the same name. The new restaurant opened October 2017. Any reviews before this are for the old restaurant.
Review: the food was all pleasant and the staff were friendly (although had a lot of trouble understanding my accent) the steak knife was rubbish (although they said they're waiting for better ones to be delivered).
Overall, not bad although perhaps a touch on the expensive side for what it was. All mains cost $30; entrees and desserts $15 each and any vegetables about another $8.
Delicious food and drinks. Good service and ambience. Will return!
Delicious food, pleasant service. Was great value with a Grabone voucher!
There's a new chef on board at Tinakori Bistro and the new menu is amazing and everything's so beautifully plated. The dessert is the highlight- banana parfait and chocolate tart were incredible.
Awesome restaurant. New owners have changed the style of the food which is now European with Asian flair. Good range of interesting choices on the menu over all the courses. Been there twice over the last month and excellent both times. If you like great food go and check this out.
Great food and very friendly, welcoming staff. We were pleasantly surprised by how child friendly they were too.
Great food shame about the service.
We arrived soon after 7:30pm. Placed our order by 7:50pm. A slight delay on one of the starters as the waiter thought it was to come out with the main. Then the main course took over an hour to come out.
Having said that the food was excellent. Great flavours and good produce.
I was invited to dine here with friends and I must admit that when I read the menu I wondered what the food would be like. I had the octopus with ink mayo for an entree. It's interesting seeing black mayo on the plate but it tasted really good. The main was lamb rack and that was just as good. Everyone commented how the mix of flavours each dish had went well together. Great work by the chef.
