Fantastic fun mountain bike trail through beautiful native bush. There are amazing bridges to cross. Technically the trail is fairly easy but it is long.

Had an Epic ride yesterday. Did the entire track in 9 hours including a lunch break. 83km. Started at Barryville Road through to Ongarue stock yeards I have above average fitness and thought if we left a couple of hours earlier we would have had time to have a swim and read the plaques along the way. We had a deadline to catch a ride back on the shuttle so last half was a bit of a rush. I wouldn't recommend doing whole track in one day unless you are up for a challenge and reasonably fit. The day was extremely hot too which made the last 10km extremely challenging. I drank 2.1ltrs of water and could have done with more. All in all, loved it and all the beautiful forest and streams. Didn't see much in the way of distant scenery as not really many clearings.. Highly recommend doing the first half from Barrysville Road.
