I saw a performance by NZDC last night at the Fall For Dance North International Dance Festival here in Toronto, Canada. The work presented was “Sigan”:
Wow - this was a stunning piece of dance which showcased the best of dance and dance-theatre today; technique, craft, musicality, artistry, synchronicity, tension, form and sophistication. New Zealand, a place I called home for almost five years, and where I spent almost half my dance career, should be very proud of their Auckland-based modern dance company.
Shona, congratulations to you and the entire artistic and technical team! New Zealand is clearly still at the forefront of international dance and you can all be incredibly proud of what you are doing!
