Dan & Ollie are wonderful hosts and have maintained a stunning historical residence. The fire was nice and warm for our stay and the room was very large, cozy, and in pristine shape.

Love this quirky old hotel with a lot of character. The hosts and their family made us feel at home with nice breakfast daily. My family was lucky to have the whole place for ourselves. Throughly enjoyed the short stay!

Despite our travel plans being thrown into caos by a cancelled flight and our family of 5 arriving at The Ferry at 4.30am instead of the scheduled 1pm, Glenys and Kevin had the house lit up and warmed for us. The comfy beds so welcoming after the cold 6 hr bus journey. We woke to a table all set for breakfast with a home made loaf. Thanks so much Glenys! Really restored our body and spirit.
The surroundings are beautiful for an early morning walk down to the historic shotover bridge and river, and after a day of sight seeing/ skiing, we preferred to cook most of our meals instead of eating out in town because the house was just so cosy and welcoming with that lovely fire waiting for us each night. Every thing you need is here.
Buckley is very sweet and so are the cats. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place. Highly recommended!response / report this review
