Wow - big city quality in a small town location. We have a hard time finding worthy places to eat when removed from the cities, but the breakfast and coffee we had on a Thursday morning rivaled anything we had in Wellington. I can't find a single thing to complain about this place. If you're hungry, come here!

Great flat white, toast with honey and pics peanut butter was perfect but may have been unneccessary when followed by the big meaty breakfast!

The Courthouse Cafe is an old historic establishment, the original court house in Collingwood, which has been restored keeping many of its original features and decoration. It serves delicious, fresh, local food and deserts, the most popular of which is their sumptuous chocolate torte. Unmissable for chocoholics! The building has several rooms featuring old photographs, utensils and books. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful, sunny outdoor seating. A local jewel and not to be missed if you are around Golden Bay. Great service too, and a friendly dog to pat on the garden area.
