A super fun ride with pro pilots. Everything is just perfect and to top it all the beautiful weather and the surrounding. We were surprised with the experience of a boat ride which is so unique and unlike anything we've experienced before. The spinning of boat over waters is something which can not be described in words!

Exciting ride, though dangerous. Depends on the skill of the driver. The ride itself is about 20 minutes. There is front and back camera on the boat so the while trip is videoed. You can buy the video and the pictures after the ride.

A must-do in Queenstown. We were really lucky to use the whole river and the skipper Niam was really cool! Best time would be spring as the snow stays on the mountains and the sky's clear for great photo. You can take go-pros but make sure you bring hands-free head attachments.

The best jet boat experience I've had. The canyons and stunning. A fantastic thrill ride. I loved watching my kids (7 & 12) faces through the ride. They loved it!

Too expensive for me, however very popular none the less. If you like being thrown around with some possible danger then this might be for you. Or you could just look. Almost as good!

This is one of the things that you have to do in Queenstown. Extremely fast jet boats driven by very skilled drivers. Not scary but exhilarating! You will get wet but they provide rain coats. Allow time to do it twice as it's cheap the 2nd time.

Great Experience - You have to do it. A very professional service. A wee bit chilli in winter, so go prepared. The area is like something from a movie. Amazing. Something for the whole family. Even my 7yr old daughter came and loved it. A+++++ 5 Stars

Everyone talked it up so was expecting great things! It was enjoyable but probably heard topo much hype about it before hand. The turns were great but in winter the air is a bit fresh (cold). Would be more enjoyable in summer I reckon.

Super fun, exciting experience on the river outside of the main drag in Queenstown. They pick up from Downtown and then drive you to the other location which has much higher rock and is beautiful area. The ride is only about 20 minutes, but it is worth it for the thrill!

Super fun experience! I have done other jet boats available around Queenstown because they are generally cheaper. However Shotover Jet is definitely worth the extra money.

It may seem a short time on paper, but the time is the perfect amount. You can get very wet and cold and get to go up and down the river multiple times on a section of the river that they have exclusive rights to. Definitely one for the thrill seekers.

They are just trying to churn out cash at this place. It was raining and extremely choppy when we went so the driver had to go very slow the whole time. We weren't given an option to reschedule without paying the full price. Management was rude and dismissive when we asked to pay the "replay rate" of $20 to try on a different day. It is probably fun in good conditions but they really left us with a sour taste.

Go on a family car trip - its more exciting
I think my Toyota corolla has more acceleration than those boats.
and i don't need to share it with 13 other people. You think your signature move (spinning once in a circle) is exciting?
Its laughable. Absolute ripoff, these guys are making about $1000 profit from each and every boat trip. Stop enabling them.

Wow, this is a must do if you are in Queenstown. Prepared to get a little wet and live a little. It is a bit like a ride in a racing car but on water. Great scenery and hang on tight it is a lot of fun. I would not say it is expensive because You are paying for the training and experience of this wonderful crew and the fantastic jet boats. You don't do this every day so just do it.
