Hard to choose which to start with from their extensive menu, each item is unique. A few sample pieces of chocolate were given while waiting for the orders to arrive, which is a nice way to add to the temptation of the range on display. The Fireman's Sandwich I ordered, while simple, was well executed and I would consider it hearty. The C3H smoothie I had was fantastic While it used coconut water as a base, the coconut flavour was hardly present, allowing for the coffee and cacao flavours to take centre stage, which personally is how I prefer that type of drink. To top it all off, the staff were wonderful and very welcoming, and seemed to genuinely enjoy being there which says a lot about the place. Nothing much stood out to me about the decor, but I suppose it need not given that those other things made the experience rather than just a nice setting. That being said, the view of the water was a great albeit minor plus.
They make excellent chocolate and chocolate related things.
The cafe food is good, but you'll wait a while for it.
The owners clearly 'found themselves' in Asia somewhere, probably Nepal given how much it's referenced. As such, with your chocolate, you can also buy onto spiritual healing retreat courses. Stick to the chocolate.
This place is a wonderful experience. Great views, simply splendid food and good service. They have great iced drinks, pricey but worth it. The chips are good too. Best on a sunny day. Limited parking, go when it's not too busy.
Great environment, great outside area and view, truffles great. For us the food was too complicated, competing flavours and hard to find an option acceptable to a 13 year old. Chocolate spoons were a lovely touch.
Such a great environment! Incredible food, drinks and service! Haven't left the venue yet and already looking forward to coming back!
Really good hot chocolate and they make it dairy free for me. And my sister's hot chocolate was "delicious". Service was great and my vegan slice was also delicious. And they have a great range of dairy free chocolate for sale.
Oh my godjust absolutely wonderful. I had Deluxe Hot mocha, bread and dip and fries with my brothers. It was really tasty. We went all the way from linwood and it was really worth going there. We felt the money we spent was well spent. The staff are really friendly and nice and actually make time to come and talk to you properly even if they are busy. The atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. The cafe is really adorable with everything placed really well inside it. Overall the experience was really magnificent. Keep up the good work guys.
It was so divine, I had a very nice cup of Deluxe Hot Mocha with my brother and sister Served by friendly staff.. And extreme relaxing atmosphere while sitting. Pleasure visiting here😀😀😀😀
Verumy disappointing pricing. $8.00 for a hot chocolate. I made the order then went to pay, heard the price then cancelled order and walked out
I had the pleasure of receiving an Easter egg complete with chocolates on the weekend. Never in my 84 years - whoops perhaps first year I did not have one- have I had such an amazing chocolate experience. Roll on next Easter!!
First time visitor. Easy to spend 50 bucks on chocolate. All Made on site with fair trade cacao from western Samoa. Totally worth a trip to governers bay
A Canterbury classic. Perfect for a short trip out of town to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. With some slightly overpriced hot chocolate
Where else can you get a shot of hot 100% pure cacao elixir? Beautiful views and a handcrafted vibe that exudes care and love. Lots of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. The wait staff are a mixture, some friendly and helpful although we found that a couple of them were perhaps overly brusque. Nevertheless, it's a one of a kind experience if you're into real chocolate. A walk downhill to the jetty afterwards and the drive out there along the bays round out the experience. Enjoy!
