Awesome place, great prices including clean hot showers and toilets, cheaper than many DOC campsites without any facilities. Nice view, very relaxing place.

Totally overrated. Views are nice but that's about it. Huge pothole in driveway- you might get stuck if you're in a car.

this is a well maintained campsite, no showers, has toilets in well kept condition, rates are reasonable and being only 81 kms from Christchurch it's a top spot! Lots of walking and just across the bridge from the hotel, where you can have a meal

One of the best campsites I've been to: very clean, gorgeous view on the gorges and an awesome hike accessible by foot across the bridge. It's also one of the only places which offers free hot showers. There is a sheltered cooking space. Great stay!

Very good place to stay in. Clean, cheap and great view of the river. One thing you should be aware of that there is no electricity on the site. However, there is hot water for your all of your needs.

Wow! What a breathtaking view. Worth the detour from Chch - Dunedin. Gorgeous campsite too, i stayed a night in Winter $6 p.p was a honesty box system but i believe its a fully facilitated camp during the warmer months. Silly me chose a site close to the highway - a little scary when trucks went past whilst sleeping. Go there even just for the view, you wont regret it.
