  A great place for back packers and groups. Very close to train station and beach. Most of the amenities in close proximity.

  Always stay at the Railway Hotel when in Hokitika. A bit basic but comfortable and well situated. Has changed hands since we were last there. New management very friendly and welcoming.

  Double rooms for 110NZD, single rooms for 80NZD. Didn't stay here but they ate definitely not a backpacker.

  we didn't stay there at night, but we had dinner at their restaurant. It served very nice thai food!
