  It's so Amazing! The rooms are beautiful, the hosts are lovely, and just 1km away you'll get amazing beer and food at the roots bar and the dangerous kitchen! Would anytime come here again! :)

  We had a wonderful few days with the friendly hosts at Pukeko Retreat over Anniversary Weekend. Sandy and Michael were the best. Our room was lovely and all of the facilities were immaculate. The tariff was very affordable and they welcomed us warmly and gave access to all parts of the lovely peaceful property helping us with good advice on things to do, places to go and good dining in the Bay. As long term residents of the area their advice was invaluable in helping us get the best out of our limited time there. Thanks guys for making us feel welcome and relaxed and for all your help. We fully recommend a stay at Pukeko Retreat in Takaka. We will be back

  Very nice hosts. Everything was clean (kitchen , bath, bedroom) and the breakfast was good as well.
