Touristic store, quite expensive, friendly staff. My opinion that the whole idea of Paua shells is over rated. Still worth visiting for once at least.

Advertisements highly exaggerated and raised our expectations too high, only to be rather disappointed. Very small playground, wouldn't entertain a 7 year old for more than 10 minutes. Reasonably ( some high-ish) priced products, but nothing out of the ordinary. Not worth driving long distances for - seemed a lot like every other New Zealand souvenir shop to us. Will not be going again in a hurry
