Stopped by for dinner. It looked like a restaurant so assumed that we should wait to be seated but since there was a table available we just went over before it filled up. Menus were on the table and we had to order at the bar. They had the standard pub menu and then an Asian menu.
The place was quite packed and the food took a while to come but it all did come at the same time. I had the spicy chicken and it was spicy. Nice at the start but the heat built up. The Peking duck looked quite nice, a make yourself duck wrap but the flavours weren't right.
Nice pub food but not really a restaurant to sit and enjoy your food.

Absolutely atrocious. We sat down to lunch and our food took an hour and half to arrive (intermittently). A pizza was forgotten about and not even a apology was given by the staff. The two tables either side of us likewise experienced long waits and confused orders. I was left positively seething by the end of the experience.

Nice and friendly staff, a clean, warm and quiet room, shower didn't have consistent temperature. Wifi was good, Freeview worked well.
Parking was on the street, nearby and not a problem. Restaurant and bar: good.

The hotel is sparse, but good value for the location. It had free wifi that was decent and actually worked and was actually free and unlimited, unlike at a lot of other hotels I stayed in on the same trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and accommodating re room setup. The rooms are behind and above the pub, so there's a staircase to carry bags up; no elevator that I saw. There's parking behind the building--there are various areas of parking in the town with different restrictions around. There's 1-hour, 2-hour, and unlimited, each increasingly far away. Arrowtown is very cute and this is right on Main Street in the middle of everything. It's about 20km from queenstown.

The draught beer selection wasn't awesome, and we didn't eat, but the food smelled good.

Really enjoyed our stay here! We came in early may 2016, and it seemed underutilized. But the room was very nice and clean, and the bathroom was great too. Staff was extremely friendly, and accommodated our request for an additional bed. In addition, they let us use the phone to make several local calls to figure out where we would go next. Full five stars, they were also considerably cheaper than other hotels in the area, so we were really satisfied with our stay here.
