Very expensive for a few hours bike rental. Maps also outdated and a bit confusing. Could have inspire from some European single tracks. Altogether good experience, tracks are maintained.

Awesome free trail network, a must for any mountain bike enthusiast. Endless trails abound for riders of all abilities, from beginner and child friendly trails to build confidence on, to trails which test the best EWS riders from around the world. Whakarewarewa Forest trails are amazing, you will not be disappointed. Awesome bikes can be hired and a shuttle (bus) uplift service available too (at a cost). Shuttle service is more suited for experienced riders as the trails further up the 'mountain' are not beginner focused. Have fun!

Great staff, fantastic bikes (they buy new ones each year!) and unreal trails! For a total beginner intermediate and advanced trails might be a bit scary but totally doable. The Dipper was pure fun!

I hired a bike + helmet from these guys and everything was perfect. They gave me great directions and I set off for a full day of riding. There is so much variety here you need a couple of days. I recommend getting the shuttle to the top so you can do more trails. Loved it and can't wait to return. They do great coffee too.

Wow, what an an awesome day!! This shop sits right at the head of over 1500km of directional, single track trail. You can ride right from the shop! The guys here are very helpful and super passionate about what they do, and the setting is just beautiful. Trails feature a very cohesive, mapped layout with a variety of routes ranging from level 1-6 based on difficulty. A very unique, huge, mountain bikers playground designed for all levels.

The shop even features an adjacent cafe to grab lunch or help wind down at the end of a long day and enjoy a smoothie or pastry. We suggest hiring a guide to learn a little about the local plantlife and vegetation, history, and Maori culture. Marcello is our favorite! Highly recommended!!!
