  Fantasic place to stay.
  The owners are great and really helpfull,
  really nice modern rooms with kitchenette,
  Fantasic views from the upper rooms out over farmlands towards hills from the balcony,
  Its only a short walk to the township with bars, cafe's and a supermarket only a couple of minutes away

  Great location just on the edge of Takaka, easy access to all the local sites with a really informative book in the room to help you plan your trip. There is a friendly team running the motel and do a great job keeping the place clean and upto date. The views from the balcony are quite spectacular especially when the clouds glow red above the mountains.

  Best place in the area for Cost, Facilities, and Convenience. When I was there everything was super clean and tidy, staff was friendly, scenery was stunning. Prime location. Next door to the i-site for all the local info on what to see. Across the street from the grocery store. Fish and chips shop two doors down. Right at the start of the main street so easy to walk to everything. I will stay again, and I would recommend them to anyone visiting the area. Thanks Mohua Motels for a great stay.

  We had a perfect Golden Bay and Takaka experience helped greatly because of this accommodation. The studio unit we had was so spacious, absolutely clean and spotless, generously set up with beautiful quality linen, larger fridge than expected, plenty of room and bench space to cook etc. The sunny views from our unit were beautiful over the surrounding farmland complex. There was room to lock our mountain bikes, park close to our unit, relax outside in the covered BBQ area and be a few steps to Takaka shops, Information Centre and cafes etc.
  Owners were really helpful and friendly. We will be recommending Mohua to friends and will return ourselves.
