Had to cancel my two night reservations here due to a flight delay. They would not allow just a one night cancellation. They charged me for both nights even though I immediately tried to rebook for just one night. This was also a busy time so the places were in high demand, so they rebooked the room and kept my money.
Just disgraceful!! Everyone else we met in NZ were so nice and sympathetic to our horrible flight experience and loss of luggage etc. Karma will catch up to you some day

This place exceeded our expectations in every way! The view is just as good as it appears in the pictures. It is breathtaking!

We booked 2 nights here for our arrival to New Zealand from the United States as a way to relax, settle in, and get ready for the rest of the trip. We didn't plan on doing much while we were here, but Malcom gave us a few pointers on local hikes (one along "The Gap" and one to a local waterfall). We took his advice on both, and we are thrilled that we did. Absolutely amazing experiences! We got to spend some time having wine with Malcolm and Liz and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Liz cooked a very tasty breakfast on the 2nd day that started us off right.

All in all, this is a terrific place with very gracious hosts. We will book again the next time we are in New Zealand. Highly recommended!
