  After getting off a plane from what I call "hemisphere travelling," I arrived at Bethells Beach Cottages. Instantly everything felt perfect. Perfect place in a perfect country. I did not know that Expedia made a huge error, and the cottage we were to stay in was double-booked. It was John and Trude who spent the rest of their afternoon preparing a 'not ready' cottage for us to stay in instead of turning us away. They were GENUINELY empathetic to our situation. Their hospitality was outstanding, and even if we didn't sleep in the lap of luxury as planned, all of their effort and understanding made my first night in NZ amazing. I have told them I will return, and I would like to request the "unfinished cottage."

  An amazing experience.
  The stuff are super nice and kind. One staff offered me a drink and she delivered it. The food was nice. The view was majestic!
  
  My only suggestion is the driveway needs bit fixing. Also will need a big signpost at the entry (for some reason my TomTom GPS will pick up 267 Bethells Rd)
