Ordered fish n chips and was decent portion size and cooked well. Nicely plated n presented. Small quaint restaurant but not ideal if you want a big group booking/gathering. They sell European branded goods but the placement of stand takes up room and not sure how well they sell but it feels like its in the way. Service was ok. We noticed that patrons had trouble with distinguising between the male n female toilets and when we made a suggestion to the staff that collected our plates (she also served us) she mention that it happens all the time and didnt seem to fussed w our suggestion. Based on this I would not go out of my way to dine here

Another cute cafe in Taihape. Great range of cabinet food and a lovely outdoor garden space. Insect repellent supplied on each table.

The place is ok. Staff is friendly and cakes look great. But first they don't taste like they look and second we asked for an orange-lime cake as written on the glass of the counter but we got something with berries which we couldn't find out the taste off. Coffees are good.

Disappointed! Called in for a late breakfast, we had crepes which were tasteless and served with popcorn! The grilled banana and couplemof pecans were the only saving grace. blueberry & white chocolate muffin was one of the worst ever. As well as extremely short on both blueberries and white chocolate, the muffin itself was tasteless. Very disappointed. The cafe itself is in a good location and decor was nice but without good food,,,,,,,,

What a great cafe. The food in the cabinets looked amazing. I enjoyed my breakfast and the free book that was in the "Free help yourself box" was a nice touch.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming to kids with a bakery of toys too keep them busy. I had a rustic pasta salad which was very pleasant. Good way to end a Taihape op-shopping binge.

Delicious food. Frequently come here for brunch and dinner. It makes for a nice choice when looking for somewhere a bit more refined. Also has a nice selection of gifts available for purchase such as dipping oils and chocolates.

Went there twice. Once for two takeaway drinks, both of which were the wrong order and we didn't know until we'd already driven out of town. Service was also shocking as they kept forgetting our order and we were being swapped between servers at least 4 times. Also went for a quick afternoon snack one time and was treated rudely and abruptly. Asked for one of their cabinet items just without the tomato and was told "that's how it comes" rudely but eventually got them to take it out. Coffee we ordered was barely warm, and when sent back received one that was boiling hot, too hot to even hold in the takeaway cup. Prices have been hiked up and the service is down to a bare minimum.

Just stopped by on a random stop on a road trip with the idea of getting a quick coffee. Ended up having a delicious full meal and buying some of their product to bring back home. A truly hidden gem.

Taihape is a special little town. We always stop here for lunch when passing through and this cafe provides a gourmet offering in a cozy relaxed setting. Shouldn't be missed.
