The food was SO GOOD.
I’d been in Nelson racing by bike and a great breakfast was just what I wanted and got plus the decor is cool.

Everyone invited to enjoy (?) the most expensively awful breakfast! Just popped in for a quick brekky of fried eggs, bacon, toast and tomato. ($24). Brekky arrived and it consisted of dry bread, two eggs and some rather nice bacon. Asked for some butter for dry bread. Immediately noticed one of the fried eggs had a wierd, hard skin and on opening there was the most awful, rank smell. Rotten egg!
Politely showed the staff and shortly received a plate of two eggs (non smelly) and the left over from my first plate. Believe it or not, the eggs were slapped onto the SAME bread I.e that had been under the rotten egg! Absolutely disgusting kitchen and catering hygiene.

The food was horrible, meat wasn't cooked properly came out cold, pizzas were not cooked proberly and hardly had any ingredients.

Totally disappointing, never ever go back again, menu said eggs on toast served with pestalloes streaky bacon, sounded good, when it was finally bought out it was two tiny prices of French stick slices with 2 tiny eggs and no bacon, way over priced and slow service.I'm sure nelson has way better to offer than this place.

Took a friend who was visiting Nelson into town for a quick look around and thought a nice cup of coffee at one of Nelsons iconic cafes would go down well. How wrong I was. We ordered 2 long blacks and 2 muffins. It took 20 minutes for our order to arrive. The coffees were lukewarm at best with no crema on top, and the muffins tasted stale. It was a Tuesday afternoon and there were only two other couples in the cafe. Not exactly busy. Disappointing to say the least.

We came here for the pizza, and while it was fine, it was nothing special and we feel no need to have it again. The decor was fun, and it was a nice place to be. Maybe we'll go back and try something different, but with all the great food in Nelson there's not a lot of incentive to go back to a place that was just OK.
