Was good, bit pricey for what it was and the staff didn't seem to happy to have us, but overall a good dinner

Have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner on multiple occasions as well as after work beers and have always had great friendly service, good food and found the prices reasonable under the new owner. Highly recommend!

Bar girl friendly but served someone else in the middle of serving me. Asked bar girl on advice for lunch, and took advice. Shouldn't have! !!!! Poached chicken was totally over cooked and fries swimming in chicken sauce. Hence totally soggy fries. Plate was cleared quickly, but staff member clearing tables didn't even look at me or ask how my meal was! !!! As I had just spent 12 hours traveling, ate my soggy fries and rubbery chicken, drank my beer just so I could go home to sleep. Will not be back here for food! !!!!15 mins since my review. Place is considerably busier than when I arrived. But what has shocked me the most? ??? Me 1 girl and 1 guy are sitting alone with drink and food. Not 1 of the wait staff have approached us to see if we ok or want anything else! !!!! Poor!!!!

Absolutely disgusted with the waiting times, lazy service and pathetic portion of an over priced meal will never be back to the sands restaurant in tahunanui nelson. Do not recommend at all.

Wait staff looked like they would rather be having a root canal without anaesthetic than pay any attention to the customers. Pork belly had no crackling just chewy leather. I asked for medium rump as surely you can't get medium wrong. Lucky I like it rare but there was not carameliised. Bbeen open long enough that teething problems should be gone. May be back if more positive reviews but doubt it.

We had an excellent Friday night watching the rugby. Fantastic staff gave service with a smile and the food was delicious. Scallops and prawns was an awesome starter followed by Fish & chips, salmon and the chicken stack all cooked to perfection! We will definitely return next time I'm in Nelson
