Enjoyable leisurely dinner for Grandsons Birthday.
Salmon main & scallops side was delicious and those of us who had various set menus were not disappointed. One minor area of improvement would be the fried rice. While the preparation was dramatic there could jave been more variety in ingredients and hard pieces, perhaps shells, didn't add to the experience.
We found the staff very friendly and the food plentiful and tasty. The cooking display added up to an enjoyable evening
This is my honest review on the place. The food was okay and the entertainment was almost non existent. The chef serving us seemed very rushed even though we were basically the only group there aside from another group that has already been served and about to leave. The group I was with was expecting the bowl catching games but the chef didn't do it, although he did rush through the big fire and egg cutting thing, I was very disappointed with the whole entertainment side. I was expecting a lot from this place since it had good reviews but sadly it wasn't as good as we were hoping it to be. I give this place a one star The other staff were kind and patient with us, but unfortunately the whole experience was not good enough for two stars.
if i could rate this place any lower i would. So to begin with asked the server if what i was going to order would be filling considering i was paying 28 bux for it she said it would be for sure i am used to this being said to me and being disappointed so i ordered an extra rice all up 33 bux. the guys makes the food in front of us that was pretty cool don't get me wrong but for 33 bux i could of gone to an all you can eat buffet and got the same rice and noodles only for half the price and as much quantity as i wanted it did not taste that different and it was actually so over sweetened that i could not finish my noodles only had the rice with a small piece of meat. then here is the kicker, the guy does a trick were he throws an egg and im expected to catch it throws it, it breaks and i get egg all over my new $100 pants i bought two days before honestly i was speechless. over all food was below average "entertainment" was below poor considering i came in for food and left with egg white all over my pants and an empty stomach. Ended going to KFC and getting chicken, NEVER EVER WILL I SET FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. highly do not recommend it. PS i really should of took notice and ran when i saw some other people who had just finished their meal leave with their plates still half full.sorry for the long post but i am extremely mad about my pants
Great food an so much fun
Delicious fresh food. Absolute Best prawns I've ever had.. Fire and flying eggs make for a super exciting experience. Dinner and a show? Worth it.
After we all ordered we were then told they had no fish! This ruled out every Entree except spring rolls!
We then tried ordering Mains and were then told they had no lamb (among other things) so all we got was chicken.
There was no compensation for not getting the other meat dishes on the Set Menu, no apology, the Waiter was rude, did not clear any dirty dishes, refused to supply water and had very poor English.
Going to a Japanese Restaurant and being told they have no fish would be like going to an Indian Restaurant and being told they have no curry, or a Steak Restaurant with no steak!
I asked for the Manager but he/she never fronted up.
We have been here many times over the years but will never return, or recommend to anyone. It is an absolute disgrace.
Great Fun, and Good Value for the service you receive. Food was tasty and we'll presented.
Very rude. Asked us to leave our table when we had finished eating to accommodate more patrons. Soooo rude!!!!!! There were plenty of empty tables. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!@
A great dining experience. You are simultaneously fed and entertained.
Fire, Excitement, a skilled swordsman, flying eggs and rice
oh, and there is food.
Have been here a few times now, and it never disappoints, the chefs are amazing at what they do, and you get a good 30-45 minutes of cooking experience from them, then as long as you like after to finish your rice off. We normally go for the $41 Sakura set menu, which comes with a salad, and some tempura bits and spring rolls to start, then prawns, squid or fish, Steak pieces, egg fried rice, chicken thighs and mixed stir fried veg.
The prawn heads/tentacles are long cooked until very crispy and served about the same time as the steak and are an interesting experience if you've never tried them before.
You do get involved with the chef on occasion and he will get you to catch an egg in a bowl and then catch the fried rice in a bowl in a bowl. can get messy, as you can quite literally get egg on your face!
They have a great drinks menu, and spirit doubles are a reasonable $7, they also have 3 kinds of saki and a plum wine (some people might like the plum wine, they would be strange people.)
Worth keeping an eye on Groupon, as they do quite often have a 50% off deal happening.
Went last night. Was a fun experience and the food value was outstanding. Will go again and recommend. The exterior of the build may fool you, but walk in and it is completely different!
