Located centrally in town next to the old cathedral (the state of which is still sadly indicative of the events of 2011), in a stunning building and equally stunning rooms. In close proximity to all you could want and more. A short stroll down to New Regent Street where you will find several stunning places to wine (or try your hand at the craft beers at The Institute) , dine then potentially wine and dine some more. The hotel staff were outgoing, both behind the desk and out the front bar/resteraunt. If you're looking for a comfortable stay in the centre of Christchurch you could do a lot worse than this, however I'm not too sure you could do better.

Only good thing is that they have OGB Bar at the entrance, otherwise Heritage Hotel itself would be nothing but very expensive backpacker shack

Building has more of historical value to Christchurch, but in the sense of that building to be a hotel with 4 starsit is really - really, far - far away from even two star hotel standard

I am giving two stars (with huge exaggeration) on compassionate grounds to HH Christchurch

Fantastic old building tastefully presented using all the old features to make a great impression. The facilities are fantastic, rooms are really comfortable and we had a fantastic stay.

Went for late munchies and drinks. Had the OGB sample platter and it was all extremely delicious. Got crowded at midnight and my drink was delayed, so the bartender

There is a small restaurant here in the old government building. It's beautiful, but apparently only suits go there, because our party showing up for lunch threw the staff for a loop. Limited choices and generally a feeling that they didn't know quite what to do with us. Food was good overall. I'd make sure to get a reservation in advance if you want real white glove treatment.

Love love this Heritage Hotel in Christchurch. Big rooms nice soft beds. =) Wonderful breakfast raw delish options. =) Friendy people =) Mmmm like home.
