Teizel burger is fine, but tue hotdog was not. Neither was the coffee.

Very solid cafe and probably the best in Twizel. The theme and atmosphere is great, lots of effort has been put into linking the cafe with the local hydroelectric infrastructure. The coffee is good and the food is tasty. It's not quite five stars as its missing the originality and sustained innovation of some truly amazing cafes, but its good enough that we went back three times.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The burgers were great, we got the Twizel burger. The tumeric and ginger latte was very nice and well spiced - good alternative to espresso. The service was also very friendly.

I went here for the second time, because the coffee was good the other day (although they already had misunderstood me). I was waiting for two cappuccino for takeaway at a table. The waitress then came and brought to large cups asking if they were for my. As I was alone they obviously weren't so I told her it was for takeaway. She apologized and went behind the counter. When I was back at the Campsite (5 min walk) the coffee was cold. We only then discovered that they had just filled the coffee that was made to sit in, inside the takeaway cup. All the cream was gone and the coffee was totally cold and not full. It is a real no go. If someone makes a mistake they have to make new coffee and not just leave it to the costumer!! Also it takes ages for them to make coffee, although it wasn't full at all and the waitress has to ask ten times before she gets things right.
Seriously that ruined my day, if you expect a nice coffee and get cold milk without foam. Not worth 12 $

Tried the tumeric latte and it's pretty decent, not for the faint-hearted. Their cheese scone is to die for!

My partner and I stopped here for the one dine out experience of a long bike journey and were completely disappointed. The "fresh salad" featured raw undercooked chicked with a random selection of fruits and vege that had humus and grapes on the same plate. In addition the fish and chips featured undercooked fries and my partner couldn't eat the cheese on the salad because there appeared to be mold.

Hopefully Hydro picks up the service for the next customer.
