Food is cold and greasy. If you have a table at the front of the restaurant, you get offered the food which no other diner wants. The waiters follow the same route, so if you table is last - too bad. We waited 40 minutes and had three dishes. We ordered a dish and both times it was cooked and given to other diner closer to the kitchen (who had not ordered it). We attended at lunch time and the restaurant only was 20% occupied. So much potential but due to the lack of organisation and care, it is waste of time. This was not our first visit but it is our last.
Food is nicely presented, but is generally over-salty and over-spicy!!! 😫😣😞
Good food..getting expensive though
Great food but often crowded
After a visit on Sunday afternoon with friends family, it was clear that the staff were overwhelmed with the number of people it was hard to get service. We paid for quite a few things which we never received and the waiting staff were to busy to get updates so we left. Avoid here on Sunday's or if you want a reasonable service. Otherwise if you like cheap hotel buffet jostling then you will be right at home.
Fantastic place, different selection to other Yum Cha places in town. Great and helpful staff.
Almost terrible. Cold and greasy food. Apathetic server refused my request to order specific items off the yum char menu, other places do this without fuss. Majestic is better, and Dragons better again. Eat there instead.
Best BBQ pork ever! Excellent value lunch with fast and friendly service. The usual Yum Cha offerings, the pork and sticky rice dishes stand out.
Fresh and flavoursome. Love their yumcha
We had a social club fundraiser Friday 25 February. Was looking forward to this lunch. We actually waited a while for dishes to come and then finally our 1st dish came out..Pork and dumplings which were ok. Then our 2nd lot came out which were steamed pork buns. A work collegue asked if I wanted to go halves on a bun and i replied yes as not really a fan but I wanted to try. As I was breaking my bun up with my forkOMG a damn dead fly was right there! I was not happy at alleveryone on the table saw it, I pushed away my plate and stopped eating!! The waitress was called over and I pointed out to her the dead fly in the pork bun, she looked startled as I was and said sorry in a soft voice and took the plate away together with pork bun and dead fly in it. I was horrified, never had I seen anything like this before in any restaurants I had been to. I was very disappointed with the service as not once did a Senior person come to apologise nor offer any form of compensation!!! Never will I be dining at this restaurant again and I will also complain to the health board regarding this!
Fast coming yum chas, tasty. Good value, too.
A good feed we had. Everyone was happy. Food was quite satisfying.
The Grand Century is a great place to experience Yum Char. The best in town.
But i would recommend booking first as it can get very busy in the weekends.
