  We had a great guided tour. Alex was very knowledgable and funny at the same time. The guided tour even includes a small breakfast at the beach in Wainui Bay. Don't get scared off if the sky is cloudy, during kayaking you won't be cold and the visibility in the water is better apparently.
  Unfortunately, I lost my GoPro on our trip. The owner and Alex were super helpful and called around and we even got two guys to come with their boat and diving equipment. This was beyond what you could hope for. Thanks again!

  Initial safety and training session was top notch. Knowledgable instructor who was good at teaching and easy to follow. Paying for rentals was weird in that no prices were written down or itemized lists given. The owner just got a calculator and said "this plus that plusplusplus" the price I paid may or may not have been accurate. The equipment we were given was adequate for the 3 day kayak trip, not fancy, but functional. One of the kayaks did allow some water into the luggage bays which was not cool. When it came time to be picked up, we waited, and waited, and waited. We finally called, and the owner told us he put us in the water yesterday (but he put us in the day prior). Trust me, we paddles for 3 days and camped out 2 nights. He was confused and it took another 2 hours to be picked up, sitting around wet and bored. Overall a laissez-faire outfit that means well but isn't great at keeping commitments, or being transparent in billing. Their knowledge of the area and water are excellent.

  Used this kayak company a few days ago and definitely enjoyed my day. Gear is good quality and reliable.
  Although, be aware that the morning briefing takes a WHOLE hour (they basically show you how to put on a life jacket and how to use a paddle), which I found pretty annoying since I've kayaked multiple times in the past.
  Overall, good company and staff.

  Really disappointing service from your company today. Despite rain we rang to confirm our booking this morning and were told to come out at 10am. We were here at 9.45am, with our money ready to pay and go, and we waited over an hour with no answer on the phone number provided or any note explaining why nobody was waiting for us even though we had phoned and arranged to meet at that time. It is unacceptably poor customer service. I only had this one chance to come to golden bay and go kayaking and it has been on my list of things to do for years so it is not just disappointing but has ruined my entire trip. Myself and my friends will most certainly not be recommending your company to anyone. Use somebody else who understands what it means to provide a good service to paying customers.
  
  As I am writing this we finally managed to get through to Tony on his number. He gave no apology and had no excuse for not having been available to meet us. Unbelievably poor service. What a shame and what a terrible company.
