One of the most beautiful locations. Grounds are kept clean, shared facilities are of good quality. Gets very windy and wet.
A lovely part of new zealand tucked away in the western part of golden bay
Nice spot.it was nice to visit somewhere i hadnt been that was in our region.
This place is a mini hobbiton. I booked a 80$ cabin, just for myself - totally worth it after a long day riding. The cabin was large, spacious, has a deck outside - It was perfect. Showers are clean (coin operated - so carry 2$ coins with you. You can also get change from the office). The whole place is amazing and shows how beautiful this country is. Horses, Peacocks everywhere. Nice little walk over the mountain to one of the best beaches and sunsets you'll ever see. Plus the Archway cafe is just amazing. This place is magical. Definitely worth the money and more. Coming back for sure.
Good for the location. Big kitchen but no equipments (pans etc.). You have to pay for the shower. Unfriendly staff.
Horrible campground! Toilets dirty and no water flushing, very small campsites, no bins, no dumpstation, no wifi, shower 2 dollar for 4 minutes, greedy and unfriendly manager and his wife (works in cafe). After realizing all this mess we decided to leave. Manager took 10 dollar for "bureaucracy" (deleting my name with a pen"). When you stay this horror costs 41dollar per night for 2 persons. Manager proudly declared that he will raise prices soon because of inflation. Next campground is 6km away and we loved it (farewell gardens).
Limited cabin accommodation, basic backpacker room, but so close to THE best beach in NZ (for Landscape Photographers), it's brilliant.
Spacey kitchen block is modern with good bathroom facilities.
