The space is unique and the people are kind. We had no problems while staying here for a night. The rooms are quiet and the bathrooms were well taken care of. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking a well priced place to stay. You also can't beat the free WIFI, decorations or the large common areas.

Loveliest hostel I've stayed in. Lots of character with books, piano and rooms to relax in. The staff were also incredibly helpful and gave me a refund when I didn't deserve one.

Yuri was warm and welcoming when I arrived after hitching into town from Arthur's Pass NP. The warm and eclectic atmosphere was a welcomed change from being in the bush for extended periods of time. Free wifi upon arrival, warm bedrooms, well maintained amenities, even a jacuzzi you can hire for $5/45min. Thank you for welcoming hiker trash into your amazing hostel. Great hostel- really friendly staff. Good communal areas. There's a big lounge, separate big kitchen/dining area, and another movie room (with a huge selection). There are loads of facilities (like bikes and kayaks). Really clean, nice and warm. Highly recommend.

It's a looooong way to the bathroom, but in general can't really complain about anything else. Clean, super comfy beds, nice staff. The town itself is well nothing happens there, but the hostel is great as a stop on your way South.

It's a little quiet due to going into winter season which is great. Really artsy place with lots of African sunset colours and artefacts. Clean, plenty of space and lounge areas. Dorm rooms are great, 6 to a room with your own light and socket and plenty of space.

Very nice hostel in Greymouth. It is a little out of the city center, but there are free bikes to get around. African themes can be seen in and around the hostel and the lounge area has a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen was one of the best equiped and organized I have seen. The staff is friendly and helpful as well!

Best hostel of my trip. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and owners really friendly. Walk down to Monteiths Brewing for a beer and bite to eat.

Wonderful hostel in a somewhat boring town. The hostel is very decorated, very cozy, and very welcoming. Has every amenity you would need (plus more!) and an amazing set of owners/employees to boot. If you need a stop on the west coast of the south island, Global Village is absolutely the best hostel on the entire West coast.

Highly recommend this funky, warm, eclectic hostel! Really enjoyed my stay at Global Village, I only wished I could stay longer everything has been so well considered, it's clear that a lot of love has gone into this place. The owner Russell was an absolute legend his friendly nature extends to the entire vibe of the hostel. I'll definitely be back.

It's very unique, cosy and comfortable.
This BBH is nicely decorated into its own style. A warming place to stay after I tired from rushing for traveling over place to place. Inexpensive and feel like home.response / report this review
