  Went gliding with Mike. Beautiful scenery and amazing experience. Would love to do it again and this time do a loop! 😊

  I visited Glide Omarama to experience Mt.Soaring around Mt.Cook.
  But unfortunately, we , I and Instructor Mike could not reach Mt.Fliyng.
  
  We could ascent to 10,000ft 20min. in Mackenzie Basin but had to descended to 7,000 ft at the boundary of basin unfortunately. Feb.2016.
  
  I could expect long flight due to stroug west wind, but wave has both aspect, strong upward and strong downward. I encountered the

  If you have a hankering for a ride of a lifetime set aside a time and book with these guys. Omarama is one of the worlds prime gliding sites and you will not be sorry you tried it from here. Simple 30 minutes local flights to high altitude wave soaring. Its all available.. Weather permitting of course.

  Pop into this informal place for a quick coffee at the Kahu cafe opposite and a look at the gliders. You might be tempted at a flight.
