Fuel is too expensive 2.19$ (91). That's a solid 50cents per liter more than in the cheapest area around Rotorua 1.74$ (91).
Hurts when you have no other choice
Mechanic worked tirelessly to fix my Hilux although he had no less than a million other jobs to do. Provided a tow service, shared a laugh all round marvelous experience
Just wanted to borrow toilet for emergency but they said I can not use if i didn't fill fuel here.
We went today because we had a problem with our electrics in our campervan. The mechanic was rude as soon as we arrived and didnt seem to even want to help us. He told us we couldnt wait by the van and we HAD to leave and go and get a coffee whilst he looked at our van (which we didnt want to do) When trying to explain the problem we had with our electrics not working he spoke to us like we were idiots and insinuated we were stupid, asking abruptly 'how do you not know this?' in regards to fuses and vaults. I replied of course i dont know that how would i possibly know that? Ive never studied mechanics, i cant even drive myself. It seemed he prejudged us as 2 stupid young girls and just took the p of us instead of helping us out. In the end we left and took our money elsewhere. We went to the mechanics in Whataroa instead where the guy fixed the problem for us in about 30 seconds and we paid him $30 for it. This guy clearly doesnt like his job and doesnt deserve your custom so id advise just go elsewhere.. like Whataroa
Rudest mechanic I have ever met. We came for some help with our van and were treated like we were children. Extremely patronising and the guy made us feel like we had no idea what the problem was, and that it would take him hours to fix We left and went to another mechanic who fixed our problem in 5 minutes. I have a feeling this mechanic doesn't like his job, travellers or women too much
Ok. Got my gasoline there. Still quite expensive.
I asked for a puncture to be mended. The mechanic was the rudest I have ever encountered. It's a wonder he's still got a business.
So much cheaper than Franz Joseph.
