Very, very disappointing. The "medium rare" $30 T-bone steak i order was well done and bland. like eating cardboard. the best thigh there was the complementary salad bar

Eat all you can on salad boat with your meal. Service is good. Nice view of the kapiti coast in a good weather.

Came here for lunch on the Saturday just went. Amazing view but i was so disappointed in the service we received and the food was disgusting. Will never come here again

We had lunch. The view is fantastic, so is the food. My daughter left her pouch, containing car keys, important documents and bank cards. We just received them. Great service. Grateful patrons from Malaysia. Thank you all.

Good for a cheap meal. The all you can eat salad bar is always a hit with the oldies and the kids. Good kiwi fare, and a good kids menu. I don't think the menu has changed in the last 40 years, but that's not necessarily a bad thing and this is definitely my parents' favourite dining destination! Views over the ocean and Kapiti Island are stunning.

Went here with my husband to relax after a stressful university exam. Had a few glasses if wine and food (my husband had the steak meal and I had the fish basket) was both delicious with the salads we could eat from the boat salad bar! Beautiful interior deco and also service as well 😙

Good food at a reasonable price, children's menu, good coffee, friendly and quick service. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and salads were fresh and delicious. Fantastic views!

The main food is terrible. They get a star for the salad bar which is pretty good, and dessert was ok. The staff were mostly very friendly, but our main waitress was quite rude, not sure why, we didn't complain or anything.
They should really do something about the smell of old cooking oil and fish that hits when you enter too.
Overall I really wish there was a nicer restaurant / cafe at this very convenient location.response / report this review -

Very great service always friendly and smiling. The lookout to the see is awesome on a nice sunny day. Food is gd. Couple of time's had to wait a little longer for order to come out, but that was understandable as it was busy. And the waitresses did explain very clearly why a order was a little late. I will come again and great politeness and the area was well cleared

Fish isn't fresh, tastes like its frizen and is cooked poorly.. Salads are the same as you would expect from a supermarket delivery. You do not get value for money at all!! You pay a lot of money for something you could cook at home cheaper and a lot better!!
For a place that has fish in its name it doesn't live up to the brand. Would not recommend to anyone!! You are better off continuing to drive either further up north or further down south to find something better!response / report this review
