Celebrated my birthday with friends on Fish Kaikoura, couldn't have wished for a better way to share my special day, Mark's a fantastic skipper and fisherman, he was kept busy the duration with defishing the rods and rebaiting ready to go again, and then filleting the catch. The trip was an education for all of us, strick on the size of fish we could keep, clipping the Crayfish middle fin thing to indicate it had been caught as recreational catch, he knew the area well and shared local knowledge. Ooh what a memory, thanks Mark. Karen, Gary and the girls

Went out with Mark 14/1/2013, very professional and extremely competent, I was impressed with his approach and the methods he worked to, all of his equipment was well maintained and he aided those not experienced to give them maximum enjoyment. An excellent seaboat with an excellent skipper, will go again for sure, thanks Mark, will pass your name on to my mates, Bill

I went out with Johnny on his boat today and it wasn't just the weather that was perfect it was the whole experience. I had never held a fishing rod before in my life but at the end of the trip I had caught several sea perches (they look like big goldfish with bulging eyes!) and a small shark - my day was made! What I also thought was really great was that the trip didn't have a commercialised or touristy feel to it - it was all very down to earth and chilled and a nice change to all the other touristy tours and trips I have been on in the last few weeks!

I have been out on several trips with Fish Kaikoura and have lucky enough to have had good fun every time, even on the odd occasion when fishing for me on the day wasn't super successful, hey thats why is called fishing--- not catching. Usually an abundance of fish is out there for catching from Sea- perch to Blue Cod and a few other varieties A good time for all is there on offer, if you want to watch the hard work being done, you can, if you would rather a more hands on experience, it is there under the watchful eye of your experienced skipper to give advice, tips and hints from handling the rods and reels to hauling in the cray pot lines. Even if you have never been fishing before this a great way to get out there and try your hand, with a fantastic scenic location. Keep up the good work team and as always I will keep on recommending you to travellers that I bring to the Kaikoura region as part of my job in the tourism industry. Cheers, The Bus Driver.
