This queenstown doubletree Hilton has been the worst hotel by Hilton. Front desk service and restaurant service were disasters. Rude staff and discrimination service. Front desk is empty all the time. All the customers have to wait for a few minutes to see a staff. How Hilton let this hotel survives?
The poor room hygiene makes me much concerned, such as stained quilt, used towers, and moldy shower room. There are a lot of complaints for this hotel for one night stay. However, my complaints won’t change anything, otherwise this hotel cannot be like this until now.
This is the worst decision to choose this hotel as my last night stay in NZ. I believe it will ruin your holidays.response / report this review -

Our stay at the Queenstown Hilton Doubletree was simply outstanding!! The staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel are extremely courteous and helpful. The parking is really convenient. The location of the hotel is close to the airport. The view from the room was fabulous. The room was clean and spacious. The amenities in the rooms were terrific. The bed was extremely comfortable. The City Center is only a short drive away and also a short ride away in the water taxi.
The breakfast was perfectly awesome!! Anything that we wanted was provided by the restaurant staff. The restaurant overlooks the bay and was draped in the light of the morning sun!!!

Fantastic location.
Lovely staff.
Lovely food.
The majority of our room was lovely, clean and modern, until you open the bathroom door. The bathroom was very outdated and unclean. Stained tiles and bath, massive chip in the bath, dirty old shower curtain with horrible brown stains.
It was as though they had completely forgotten to update the bathroom! I’m sad to say that It massively let the room down.response / report this review -

Pretty location, but the hotel wasn’t quite on its game, especially considering the rates. Our double twin was configured as a king & the bed had to be “unzipped”, redone, and rearranged; AC was broken & needed to be repaired; bathroom wash bassin was clogged; mini safe didn’t work & required new batteries. The machine printing parking passes was broken & the workaround was to press the “help” button when exiting to alert the reception to open the barrier—a bit unnerving when nobody’s answering, the barrier is down, and an impatient line of cars starts forming behind. Breakfast was good, with the hot items (eggs & waffles) requiring an extra fee. Staff was very friendly & offered a symbolic discount for our troubles.
In retrospect this may be close to the airport, but too far from Queenstown center—next time will look for something closer.response / report this review -

Can’t say enough about our stay. Throughout Queenstown every business is short staffed. Despite this the hotel has retained spotless rooms, great service, responsiveness and friendliness. The units are roomy with a small kitchenette, oven, microwave and hot plates. We did not have a view of the lake but it’s easy to get one with a quick walk to the hotel bar which they are offering free drinks in exchange for a voluntary waiver of housekeeping in your room to help with the short staff. The front desk person Joshua was incredible - with a friendly welcome and thorough explanation of all the information for the stay. One of if not the best front desk employees we’ve engaged with. Hotel location is also very convenient with 15 minutes to town by car or there’s a water ferry that’s about 20 minutes to town. Frankton has groceries, coffee, restaurants less than 5 minutes or a 15 minute walk. We’ll be back

Super comfortable bed and bedding. I stayed in a room with good view. Room was contemporary with stainless steel microwave and grill. Only just because i was lying down on the coach and staring at the ceiling that i noticed some peeling of paints and/or minor work in that section. But other than that, i loved our stay there. Staffs are all very kind, they have great facility/amenities within the complex. When i stayed hubby got a bit of food poisoning hence having him sick but i didn't feel trap at all being stuck in the hotel all day. I could come out and get some coffee from the grocer, grabbed lunch from one of the restaurants, run/walk along the track or just simply soaking in the great view near the water. Thank you for the service, it has been a wonderful

Great place to stay. Location great for snow adventures. Free shuttle to town a big advantage. Room service was a bit slow but was my only downside of the stay.

Would love to have booked with you guys but no one ever answers the phone!! I have called multiple times over the last week and have spent anywhere from 15-20 mins waiting. You need to improve your service.

Decent hotel albeit pricey this far out since it's 15 minutes from town centre. Close to the airport such that airplane noise can be a factor for a lake view room. Views of the lake from this end are not great. Deluxe king room feels cramped. Bathroom is tiny and the balcony is non-existent since the HVAC unit is there. Front desk staff were nice. Housecleaning staff are very good and accommodating. There's a regular, free shuttle (make sure to book it) that is very good. As good as using the water taxi. Next time I'll boom the Sofitel since it's in town at the same price.

Very spacious. Reception staff are very nice. The view from the lake is amazing. Main issues were our double bed was two singles put together which for a hotel like the Hilton is disappointing. The bath is very narrow and almost resulted in my pregnant wife falling out.

Always consistently has a high level of service and a wonderful view every morning when you wake up. A lake view room is recommended for the best experience.

Everyone is really friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, there are a couple of nice options for food around, which makes a nice location slightly outside of town.

Gorgeous area, right by the water. Awesome room and amenities. Be cautious of drivers in the area. Small roads and an increase in Chinese tourists recently do not mix.

Nice hotel and area. Variety of restaurants. Our room had very little storage space but the room itself was lovely. Relatively regular transport to Queenstown center just have to be organised in your time keeping as you have to book the shuttle bus. It's quite easy to arrange though. Great staff and lovely hotel.
