Such a nice bar and restaurant filled with so much history. Lovely food and friendly staff. Great outdoor seating area with amazing views

Very nice host. Unpowered camp sites were free in spring (September). Stayed for 2 nights while in kaikoura. Good beer and nicely decorated.

Warm usually quite, has become slightly tatty but still above average accommodation. Good meals and service. Does receive some bulk bookings which can make it uncomfortable for others.

Went there for a roast dinner. Had the lamb and wasn't disappointed. Had to go back there for another one a few days later. Got good beers and wine, great service and wonderful outlook and gardens

It's an authentic Irish hotel & pub/restaurant.

The bar and restaurant scene is really special, along with huge wood burning pit fires, they host country music and Irish music shows. The expansive hectares of garden and a duck laden pond is a treat. Amazing sunset views go well with a cold pint, onto the garden porch

The award winning lamb roast, is a sure winner. We got juicy lamb cuts full of all trims, roast potatoes, steamed veg, Yorkshire pudding & a delightful rosemary infused gravyabsolutely delicious
