We had the stonegrill special for backpacker travelers, i.e. $17.50 for beef, chicken or veggies grilled on the hot stone with a side salad and fries, peppercorn sauce and a drink (draught beer or house wine). The service was incredibly friendly and the food outstandingly delicious! Great value for money and an amazing dinner option.

Mad place for a few pints. Had some of my best Uni memories coming here on our nights off from Canty Geology department field trips.

Best outdoor seating! Great for the family, best service, the whole vibe of this place is homely, and the food is so good, would highly recommend.

Family of 8 went there today for lunch. Two ordered corn and cashew fritters, five of us had fish and chips and one had the Mexican chicken. The Mexican chicken was the best of the lot. Good portions and "quite yummy" . Fish (Blue Cod)and chips were delicious but for the price an adult portion was too small. The corn fritters appeared and had the texture of over cooked or refried fritters. They were tough and finding a cashew was a bit of a search. The young man serving us when told that the fritters were not able to be eaten changed the subject and did nothing to address our concerns. We won't be back and wouldn't recommend it for a family lunch. Shame really.

It's really a sad story. A group of us we're on the kiwi express and we got a deal to go to this restaurant. We were pumped to get steaks, paid up front and went outside. They came and said 3 of us had to change to chicken because they had run out - pretty disappointed at this point
Then 10 minutes after a table of fellow travelers all got beef- I guess the truck came in?
We would have happily waited for beef to come in- they were not sorry at all and quite rude about it when we asked- barley a sorry

Came here outside of lunch/dinner times, but was offered something from the snack menu. To my astonishment, they have stone-grilled beef on there. This is just a piece of raw meat which they serve you on a 400°C stone and you just leave it on there until it is cooked as much as you like it. Amazing experience and it tastes great!
