One Countdown is a lot like the next, and I generally like the chain. This one has an unusual layout, which I find a little confusing. Guess if I shopped there regularly I'd like it, but as I go rarely, it's not my favorite.

Yes it is a supermarket, yes it is what you expect from a large chain store like this. However the building is old, the fittings are worn and the coolers in the fruit and veg department require constant servicing and it looks pretty grubby when they are being cleaned. The staff are always cheerful and happy to help.

They have bags and don't charge you for them, I guess that's pretty good.
