Staff were very friendly and the chips and coffee were nice. Sat outside in the sun but there are good views from inside.

Lovely, just lovely, the staff are just lovely especially the short young girl whit brown hair, i think her name was Lilly, if it was me I would go there 20 times a day, this is the place you should spend your afternoon ( I know I would ).

I currently live in Sydney although I was originally born in Oamaru.
We booked in at the Coast Cafe on our way back from Dunedin and had a fantastic meal there. I have to say they have the the best fish and chips I have ever tasted - and the meal portions were very generous - their desserts were equally as delicious - great food and great service (the waitress who took our order was genuinely happy to serve us and smiled the whole time she attended our table). I would highly recommend you try this venue if you are ever passing through Oamaru.
