Absolutely great experience, we loved every second of it. Beautiful spacious unit, great ambience,, Laura the owner super helpful and lovely and available to help at any time. I would TOTALLY recommend this place to everyone.

Stayed at Cardno's for a couple of nights. The accommodation was modern, quiet and clean. The owners delightful. Brilliant powerful shower. There are many beautiful places to visit in this area which are easily accessible by car. We booked both the studio unit and one bedroom unit and both have a stunning view of the sea. The golden sandy beach is a 2 minute walk away. We saw a large sea lion on the beach on our way to the light house. I can not recommend Cardno's highly enough - and very reasonable too!

The most gorgeous place I stayed at while in New Zealand. The view is even more breathtaking. The accommodation is super clean (5-star quality) with a full kitchen, separate bedroom and living area. They also provide a variety of teas for your drinking pleasure. The sliding door is completely made of window so you have an unobstructed view of the waters - perfect for catching the sunrise or sunset. And best part, it's remote and close to Kaka Point which, if you're lucky enough, you can spot blue-eyed penguins swimming back to shore at dusk.

My husband and I were there in January 2014 for several nights while on holiday from the states. The folks at Cardno's were more than accommodating. They were generous and helpful and the place was beautifully decorated and maintained. Very clean. Very safe and cozy. I would recommend this place for sure!!
