Great for group booking. Good play ground.
Fantastic Camp Ground. Great facilities
A fantastic place to stay with family and friends however tarnished by the unacceptable behaviour and attitude of the male manager/caretaker towards our group.
Examples: rude manner in which he spoke to some of young children implying that they were uneducated as not able to follow rules of 'trampoline' use.
Randomly turning up going through rubbish bins for any evidence of alcohol, bringing visitors through whilst we occupied site,, intrusive & impromptu visits daily.
Tone, attitude and manner - if fridge temp gauge is faulty put a sign to not change temp. We're not mind readers! Throw away comments 'squatters' excuse me we paid to occupy camp site squatters don't !
Our family group has used several camping grounds and have never received treatment like this, and wonder if its only directed at certain groups. His attitude and behaviour was totally unchristian like, inappropriate and unacceptable! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, I say!
My family and I were utterly appalled with the intimidating and obnoxious treatment we received during not only our first but second stay here. The male owner continuously snooped in and out of the lodge as though he was deliberately trying to pin us for any fault that he could possibly find even while we were occupying that space which I see as a complete invasion of privacy. I also recall him raising his voice quite aggressively towards a few of my younger primary school cousins regarding the amount of people that are allowed on the trampoline at a time - Ensuring that rules in place are abided by is totally fine but the fact that my cousins were simply just sitting on the edge of the trampoline causing absolutely no harm to anyone yet were still snapped at is my concern. As well as these issues, the owner was very inconsiderate of our family by bringing other people in and out of the lodge to view - again while family members were still there and on top of this referred to us as "squatters" which I find extremely offensive. Overall I personally felt that we were treated unfairly and disrespectfully and my suggestion to improve your business in future would be to show respect and be considerate towards paying customers by allowing people privacy, working on customer redemption and perhaps having a flat rate for adults/children rather than a number of various prices. However in suggesting this I doubt my family & I will be returning as this was not the first time we were treated this way.
We had a lovely family holiday mid winter at the camp. We appreciated being able to hire the kayaks. The hosts were wonderful!
