Great choice of food and coffee. It can get busy on weekend mornings but still a good vibe

It's a few years since I have been here met up with Several Ladies that I had not seen for sometime. Let's begin with a wine, pinot gris & noir, chit chat, we weren't rushed to order and when we did our meals arrived promptly. Presention 9, meal 9 coffee 9. Very good selection on the menu and what we did order was very tasty. It was lunchtime and Melba is a very popular place.You can't resist from looking at other people's meals which all looked delish. Would go again and order maybe an open egg omelete which had a mixed salad on top intriguing or creamy mushrooms and bacon.. If you haven't been, you should go!

Very busy. Nice food. One issue we were waiting for one of our party to return from a comfort break when we were asked to vacate as they wanted the table Mmmm 😣 I'm afraid that list them a point or two.

Charging extra for two shots of coffee?? The machine pours two and they turf one rather than give you two. Otherwise, people are friendly and food looks fresh

Very popular so can be a bit noisy. Recommend booking if you're a group bigger than four. Service is fantastic, friendly, helpful staff. Food I've had has always been great.

Lovely place. I had the Avocado Smash amd it was delicious but more importantly they gave a good generous portion of avocado. Great service too.

Their large coffee was monstruos! Had a nice busy vibe, friendly staff and the coconut cream porridge I ordered was perfect.

I actively avoid chains like this. But surprisingly, Cafe Melba in Ellerslie is not too bad.
The coffee was drinkable, the fries were great, the environment was the same as every other Melba, Sierra, Colombus. Surprisingly, Ellerslie is bereft of proper Cafe's, so if you have to go anywhere, try Melba.response / report this review -

Poor coffeedid it have any coffee in it or was it coloured milk? The rotten leaves in the side salad was a nice touchdont bother spending your money here.
