Seven of us dined at the family restaurant Breakers. Four out of seven meals were good the other three had issues like forgot the mushrooms or over/under cooked steaks. The staff were friendly enough.

Breakers is average been going to most Thursday night to get the 2 for 1 steak meal deal. Sometimes when i order medium rare what i get us nowhere near it. Its still running in the paddock. The waiting usually takes up to 20-40min before your main comes out. And yhe pricing is expensive if you go half with a mate you pay roughly 30-40 dollars for a. On tray, main, and a drink.

Ordered 2 steak meals and asked for them both to be cooked medium. We get brought our meals only for the steaks to be swimming in blood, they were clearly medium rare not medium. So we send them back, then after a few minutes we get our plates brought back to us, the same plates with all the blood, with what looked like the same pieces of steak, just maybe cooked a bit longer. Even then they were only just medium and they had the cheek to put a medium well flag in them! Worst dining experience ever! Will not be going back to this breakers!

Ordered a medium steak, plate came with the steak sitting in a pool of blood. Cut into it. Red raw. Blood right through my salad. I called the waiter and said I ordered a medium steak so it was taken back. It was thrown back on the grill and then sent back on the same blood filled plate with the same blood dressed salad. Couldn't eat it. No idea what a medium steak should be and clearly wasnt rested. There was no apology at all. Worst dining experience ever.

Great family restaurant in the heart of Hastings. Just over the road from Albert Square (which has a chess set and Imagination Playground blue blocks) for the kids to run around in.

I must say it has been a few years since I last dined at breakers. 7 years to be exact, I would say the experience was delightful. The service of the food was quick, my kids meals were received 12 minutes and 32 seconds after placing the order. Our meals were received 5 minutes after. The staff is friendly and always around to help. Clean, tidy and calm atmosphere. Food is average, but I would more readily return anytime.
